Rescue - Hazmat - EMS Training
After
fifteen years of training students at universities and companies nation
wide, in 1983 Industrial Rescue Instruction Systems was formed offering all
areas of industrial training including structural, confined space,
high-angle, aquatic, rope, and tactical training. We are committed to
teaching the latest, most effective methods possible in a manner in which
students can understand and safely carry out successfully.
In Spring 2001, Industrial Rescue Instruction
Systems began offering courses in Hazardous Materials Training Courses. In
keeping with our philosophy of "Keeping It Simple," our courses follow a
natural progression through the steps from the Awareness level to the
Operations level to the HAZMAT Technician level. Our courses can be
modified to your specific needs and will meet and exceed all the
requirements of 29CFR1910.120 and NFPA 472.
Our professional certified instructors come from all fields of rescue with twenty plus years of experience. These individuals presently serve on industrial rescue teams, municipal and/or industrial firefighting teams, as emergency response technicians, and also may serve as Red Cross Instructors and Emergency Medical Technicians. Instruction includes classroom lecture and discussion; however, focuses primarily on hands-on techniques and field scenarios. We feel that learning can be maintained by practice scenarios duplicating actual incidents which can occur.
